Ontario Gasket Inc. has extensive experience in producing shielding gaskets that meet and exceed customer requirements. This includes manufacturing, customer service as well as assisting our customers in the selection of the appropriate product for each application.
EMI Shielding Material
We offer a wide array of shielding gasket products. These include beryllium copper (BeCu) fingers, wire mesh, elastomeric core, conductive elastomers, and metallized fabric bonded to foam.
We specialize in composite EMI shielding and weather sealing materials in either sponge or solid silicone. Several types of electrically conductive rubber and rubber-metal mesh combinations are available for fabrication into shielding gaskets.
Selection Criteria
Selection of an EMI gasket to seal openings is governed by performance criteria, including:
- Galvanic compatibility with the housing structure and resistance to corrosion by the external environment
- Mounting methods and closure forces
- Effectiveness of shielding over the specific frequency range and in accordance with test limits
- Temperature range during operation
- Cost
